A special session, "NRA and the Media: It's Not The Critic Who Counts," will be held on Sunday, May 18, at 11:00 AM in Room B 104 of the Kentucky Exposition Center, at the NRA Annual Meetings in Louisville, Kentucky.
"Regardless of how the media criticize and demonize NRA, we have supporters. NRA members need to be more aware and more knowledgeable of their own power, their own voice, and their own ability to rally those supporters," remarked Susan Howard, the session moderator and a member of the NRA Board of Directors. "We are in a bellwether time of change in America, and NRA is bedrock of that change. This is not the time to be silent."
The session will feature the opinions and experiences of an array of panelists:
- Sandra S. Froman, past president of the NRA;
- Ralph Z. Hallow, political analyst for The Washington Times;
- Cleta Mitchell, an expert in campaign finance and election law;
- David A. Keene, 2nd Vice President of the NRA and a columnist;
- Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, USMC (Ret.), a syndicated columnist and host of “War Stories” on FOX News.
The NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will take place from May 16-20 in Louisville, Kentucky. For more information, see www.nraam.org.
