Esteemed author Lt. Col. Oliver North, also a member of the NRA’s Board of Directors, will be on hand on Thursday, August 27 to celebrate the opening of the NRA National Firearms Museum's new gift shop. Lt. Col. North will sign copies of his recently re-released book, American Heroes, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. before heading to the Museum's auditorium to deliver a speech at 7 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public. The speaking engagement is co-sponsored with the Virginia Gun Collectors Association.

The Museum's gift shop has one of the largest collections of firearms-related books on the east coast. Store Manager Benjamin Van Scoyoc is pleased to offer American Heroes at the promotional price of $20 for one day only.

Refreshments will be served at the event.
